Unique group relating to "Ten Screenprints"

Four works relating to the creation of the portfolio "Ten Screenprints" printed by Ives-Sillman, Inc. in 1966, consisting of:

a) color study, gouache on artist's board, presumably by Reinhardt but unsigned, with two fine, horizontal knife cuts along the upper and lower sheet edges, and another vertical cut in the the left-edge (passing through the two extreme left washes of color), but otherwise in good condition
sheet 20 x 15 inches

b) "8". Silkscreen in colors, an impression aside from the final edition and without the Ives-Sillman blindstamp in the lower margin and the ink-stamped number on the reverse, but with the number "8" written in ink on the reverse; in excellent condition
image 18 1/8 x 9 inches
sheet 22 x 17 inches

c) "3". Silkscreen in colors, a trial impression on a larger sheet than the editioned impressions, with many handling marks, some light surface scuffs, and with some paper loss along the sheet edge
sheet 26 x 22 1/2 inches

d) "1". Pencil on thick paper (the reverse of another artist's proof silkscreen), a printer's mock-up for the correct positioning of the colors for image "1", taped to the reverse of the previous work (c)
sheet 22 3/4 x 18 3/4 inches

provenance: estate of Sewell Sillman (of Ives-Sillman, Inc)
