Coletta Martin was born in Cincinnati in 1923, and studied at the Art Academy of Cincinnati. Her work, frequently bold, large-scale paintings, was included in the 1974 exhibition "AIGA/Color" at the Whitney Museum of American Art, a solo show at the Cincinnati Art Museum in 1975, and numerous other exhibitions.
