1947-48    Studies at Arts Students League, New York with Reginald Marsh
1948-51    Studies at the Cooper Union School of Art, New York with Morris Kantor and Robert
1951-54    Attends Yale School of Art where studies with Josef Albers, Stuart Davis, Jose de Rivera, Burgoyne Diller and Ad Reinhardt. Receives BFA in 1952 and MFA in 1954
1954-56    Teaches at the University of Texas, Austin. WIth Colin Rowe, writes treatise on architecture "Transparency: Literal and Phenomenal"
1956-59    Works for I.M.Pei & Assoc. in graphics department
1960-68    Teaches at Pratt Institute, Brooklyn
1960-80    Architectural collaborations with John Hejduk, Richard Meier and Anthony Eardley
1968-80    Teaches at the School of Architecture, Cooper Union , NY
1980-90    Teaches at the School of Art, Cooper Union
1990-2005   Teaches in the Department of Fine Arts, University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia
