The prints shown above come from the estate of Sewell Sillman, co-owner with Norman Ives of the print publishing company Ives-Sillman Inc, the publisher of the majority of Josef Albers's prints.

Sillman coordinated the printing of Albers's silkscreens with the printers Sirocco Screenprints, and would take trial or or test prints from the printers to Albers, to make sure that the layout of the screens and colors of the inks were correct before the printing of the edition. All of these works have been in the publisher's collection since the time of printing.
